sorry man but i know you can't seriously mean that.... i know bad boy bill mashups with the 1 minute per track thing can get hard to handle due to all the craziness but long redundance of waiting for the dj to finally get the beats matched playing out entire tracks is worse. not saying that is kraigs case but common we need more than just track mix track mix. i'm sure kraig is capable of more than that...... i hope? |

First i don't think the freestylers themselves can even open with "Ruffneck" with getting a few groans
Second, I've been listening to you live for a few years and it sounds like less effort went into this mix than an impromptu set at Tribeca. Like was previously mentioned the one minute mashup isn't always desirable but this mix had me twiddling my fingers waiting for you to mix. Next time try spicing it up with funny sound clips, scratching, blends or MAYBE SOME NEW TRACKS. |

Playing the classics is never a bad idea but you can't expect to open a mix/demo with three or four of them in a row.
IMO its abad idea for two reasons. 1) Who is listening: Being a demo cd a number of promoters will be listening with critical ears. These people will presumably be well versed in your genre already and you are going to put them to sleep. 2) The state of mind of your listeners: Demo listeners are always expecting a fresh twist. Promoters listen to demos to decide whether to book you or not and with this cd I see many of them saying "Hell we could just get Joey Joe Joe to play and no one would tell the difference." However if this cd was made strictly to give out to Ravey McTeeny Bopper then it will suffice. |

Very good points Bobby, I highly enjoyed this CD but thats becuase it's jocked full of my current popular faves. Definatly a few keepers, still majority rocker tracks.
Technical side, I liked the added effects. Very cool touches. Smooth mixing consistantly. However, one beef with the pause between 2&3 where you drop out the bass, sorry me no like. Top notch CD though, I was happy to snag two :) |
