It's cool because I'd never think a song like that would come out of Alex. It's really neat when people spin a certain style, but they explore other sounds and genres when producing a track. It contributes so positively to all types of music, it creates new and interesting sounds, which may evolve into new genres and styles. Nice work bro. Do you have anything else we can listen to?

Not Bad. It reminded me of something from Zen Cuts. As always I will critique:
As sparse as the track is, it has punch and depth. Their is a real progression and sincerity to the track. The instuments used are excellents, I could hear influences from artists such as; squarepusher, boards of canada, aphex twin, dj food, and denki groove. I wasn't sure if this track had been mastered profesionally yet? I liked the scratching techniques, the length was good and the acid drops were excellent. On the other hand, there weren't any substantial breaks, couldn't locate much analog synthesis, and the vocals weren't as scratchy as I would have liked. \ I give this a 9/10 for originality and awesomeness. |

Thanks for the feedback. =)
miSsy_chriSsy: Yeah, I'll post some more soon. I have a few from earlier in the year and more in the works... P.A.R.T.Y: No, it wasn't professionally mastered but I did a quick job of it myself. I wanted to keep it simple and fairly short, hence the lack of breakdowns, but I felt that it worked for the style of the tune. The instrumentation was primarily VST, so yeah, no hardware synths. Oh, and wasn't quite sure what you ment about the vocals not being scratchy enough? Any chance of hearing some of your music? I'd be interested in checking it out... SLOW DJS: That mix is pretty old, I uploaded a more recent one if you're interested. Last edited by shift; Sep 27, 04 at 08:43 AM. |
