it is indeed. i think i like the orig over the max graham mix, a lot more subtle, but definitely gets the job done.

caught the tail end of your set at jxl, good shit.

let me know what you think of the mix

This mix is outstanding. Great work.

I love to study to this music.

I am relatively new to listening to this genre and have encountered problems sifting through the cheesy trance and bangin tribal prog to get to the stuff i enjoy.

Your mix hit my tastes right on the nose. Any suggestions of artists or places where i could find similiar mixes?

thanks again....... :)

thanks bro, there will be a third episode up in a few days, ill update the thread when it's finished.

to answer your question, you pretty much have to sift through lots of crap. good solid progressive (in my opinion) is hard to come by these days.

I would recommend Satoshi Tomeii's NuBreed compilation on Global Underground as a definite hit if you liked the tracks in this mix. The entire label puts out fairly solid albums and mix cd's, check out John Digweeds' Los Angeles and Deep Dish's Moscow double cd's. Digweeds MMII compilation is also very nice.

I'd also check out tracks by G-Pal; percussive, subtle melodic feel, very tight productions. Sultan puts out nice prog, more laid back, his collaborations with the Greek are very enjoyable. Madoka puts out insane tracks, all very solid. Steve Porter has a number of tracks that fit this style as well.

Hope that helps, if not, you'll just have to wait for the next mix :p

I knew somebody would ask that hehe. Well, I started the Afterschool Session series about 2 years ago, when I was super into trance and hard trance. I don't even have it on my hardrive anymore!

Since then, my taste in music has changed drastically, and I haven't felt that any mixes I've recorded since then could really fit in with the feel I was trying to go for with the Afterschool Sessions.
