Tonight on Art Of Beatz: Thee Nordic Trax/2G takeover starring.. Luke McKeehan: Label founder Luke McKeehan is a well recognized name in house circles these days. His mixed-cd, 'Lazy Transmissions' (released 2001), quickly became an NT best-seller while being released in over 20 territories abroad. Luke has been keepin' it real on the decks since 1985, in the process becoming one of Canada's most celebrated DJs. He has deejayed alongside such notable DJs as Mark Farina, H-Foundation, DJ Heather, Gilles Peterson, Danny Tenaglia, Marques Wyatt, Little ‘Louie' Vega, Doc Martin, Jazzanova , Diz, DJ Heather and Ben Watt as well as opening for St. Germain, Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada, Jamiroquai and David Bowie to name only a few. Luke is also the pioneering force behind Vancouver's groundbreaking club Sonar , which has consistently delivered some of the most forward-thinking club nights the city has witnessed since its inception in the mid-nineties. Dana D As a DJ, Dana is well known for his eclectic sets consisting of downbeat, hip hop, drum & bass, midtempo breaks and deep house plus whatever else captures his musical imagination. His abstract style has allowed him to open for many different people and bands such as Kid Koala, Tricky, Morcheeba, Carl Craig, Luke Vibert, The Herbaliser, Mark Farina, Saint Germain, Coldcut, Saul Williams and Anti-Pop Consortium, to name a few. You spend your Saturday nights with them at the Lamplighter, so why not invite them into your homes this Thursday night? As always, your AOB hosts will be in the house.
