TECHNIX - Here Comes The Sound (Original Mix)
Blah,
As I'm selling my Roland MC-505 (Classifieds section), I wanted to make one quick last mastered track to commemorate the end of my producing days. This track takes us back to the days of bouncy Hard House (but has a bit of a modern feel). I've given it out to a bunch of people on CD at parties and such, a few thumbs up, but not like I expected a record deal. Wishful thinking... So here's my one-hit wonder. If anyone was wanting my other tracks, PM me or IM on MSN, of course. :) TeCHniX - Here Comes The Sound (Original Mix) http://www.claneta.net/fnk/technixthesound.mp3 (Right click, Save Target As..., 9.37MB) <editz: link is updated> Last edited by Technix; Feb 16, 05 at 10:44 PM. |

What parts of the song where created with the hardware?
Ive always wondered how hardware synths and software sequencers worked together. do you send the output of a midi sequencer into the midi input and the synth? or do you have to play it by hand and record in realtime? |

The samples are produced by hardware and then pieced together with software sequencers (i.e. Cakewalk Pro Audio or Plasma). I could do live performance, but I've now sold my all my studio hardware.
Back in 1998 I was using Mixman Studio Pro which was a real-time sequencer (but only limited to 16 track output) so there wasn't much freedom. Now unlimited track sequencers are all over the place and it's a matter of picking the best one for your production. (Pro Audio and Plasma are good sequencers but not the best, of course). Quote:
