TWiStED BaSSLiNEs V:1 - out now...
TWISTED BASSLINES V:1
My live mix of Past, Present, and Future (unreleased) speed garage trax hand selected for you to have the experience of bringing back the good old memories... e-mail me at [email protected] or PM on here if you are looking to get your hands on a copy. It's only $10.00 and it will all go towards the expenses of doing the CD. They are all printed CDs with no stickers so you could have that little bit of extra quality. don't take it from me, ask someone who owns it or who has heard it, I'm sure they'll tell you that you might want to get your hands on it and also becuase I will only do a minimal amount of releases. Cheers, Eric J CINtO Last edited by Cinto; Apr 03, 05 at 03:01 PM. |

...HaRSh...
thnx kraig...
Mojo: good to know you like to support the local DJs...to each their own, but that would be sad to have someone pay for it and then have you basically copy something they just paid for. you were one of those people who didn't actually do your homework in school but just copied off others... HAHA Hope you enjoy... Cinto |

Mojo, you're weak. If you're going to be an ass like that, you should learn that some things are better left unsaid. Especially comments like such in his promo thread. I'm taking my first listen to Cinto's cd right now, and it's worth supporting. |

if this was a mix of completely new music all made by cinto himself, i would think about paying a bit for it.
but for a dj'd mix of what im going to guess is 90% other peoples music that i can find on the net anyways, hell no. and i don't see how this has anything to do with cheating in school. forwerd- ill say whatever the fuck i want thanks. |

I agree!
I have no idea whats on the cd as far as Eric's own productions but if there weren't any I would have a hard time putting money down. Theres too many djs out there putting out quality mixes/cds etc for free. But I also agree Mojo probably did cheat in school. CHEAT! |

i thought the cheating/copy statement fit perfect, and trust me it's not ment just towards you here. as you can tell it's suitable for many situations.
and I can see where you are getting at, soon enough i'll have that CD with all my own tracks on it. SOON ENOUGH! but there are a couple on there.. incld. a new electro breaks track i did a couple weeks back as a bonus at the end. |

I dunno. with mp3's around, and music being absolutely free, it's hard to see the value of a well produced and programed cd anymore. You're absolutely right, it is easy and cheap to make a mixed CD at the luxury of your own home.. if you have a soundcard and the know-how. Have we forgotten about the value of true blue talent? Just because a dj didn't produce 90% of the cd's music that shouldn't mean it's worthless! Otherwise, why do people buy compilations and dj sets?
Plus, i think my underlying point was, support local music. Some DJ's in vancouver are trying to take their profession seriously. And they pay serious coin to have their cd's mass produced and marketed. So, i'm sure if the roles were reversed and you were the one spending the money to have 'Your' music produced, and someone else came along and trolls your shit on the locally supported web forum, you'd be jsut as bitchy about it as you are now, when someone tells you to have some respect. you CAN say whatever you want whenever you want, but whether you should or not is a different question. |

i should have said so earlyer, but your cd lived in my diskman for a week! its freekin great man...
looks good too, being printed and all, totally cause by suprize with that last bonus track at the end too... cd is done? then why is it still spinning and counting time? 2 minutes later.. WHOLY SHIT!! anyways, the only reason that you have no value for mixed cd's is that you have been spoiled. vancouver is saturated with dj's and they are all just trying to get the gig, so they started giving out cd's for free whitch lowers the value of other dj's cd's now forcing those who have put the time and the effort in, and put a few of their own tracks on their cd's to give up hope on monitary recognition for it. even if a local dj sells say 500 copies of a cd at 10 each, thats only $5000. but the amount of money that goes out for things like records and gear maintanence etc. will always be higher. but anyway, everyone can do what they want, but wheather they get respect for it, or pushed down is up to them. |

if you don't care enough about your local scene to support the people who are driving it, how can you expect your scene to be any good?
what kind of lame asses are these people who won't pay $10 for a CD full of music you won't hear anywhere else, mixed properly? either you support the scene you're part of or you can leave, because the last thing anybody needs is leeches who expect to be given the time of their lives without contributing a damn thing to the talent or the people who spend their own hard-earned money to throw the events you take for granted |
