Sandino - Follow the Groove Piper... (Deep..Sexy..n Funky)
Finally got around to completing a mix of my own and thought I might share it with the FNK crowd. Let me know what you think... Be warned though, since I am new to the scene, this is more of a humble effort than anything else. Also, the recording turned out to be pretty rough on some parts but I was recording this mix with my speakers that were busted (only ones I had)...I should be getting a new pair in the coming weeks so hopefully that won't be a problem for future recordings.
Turn it up...relax...and enjoy! Sandino - Follow The Groove Piper (October) (Right Click-->Save As...) Running Time: 71:46 Recording Date: October 2005 -I'll try and get a tracklisting going for you guys if there is any interest. Last edited by Sandino; Jan 03, 06 at 02:15 AM. |

Absolutely Love It!
Just want you to know how much I love and appreciate this mix...just gets better and better...
Especially a couple tracks, I think there called "Back Together" and "Thinking of You". So funky, but still easy listening. Never had a house album I've loved more! Kinda wish I could get it with the tracks seperate and a bit better quality. Sounds alright on my house speakers, but cant dig it on my mp3. Let me know if this is possible! You are awesome! |

^HUGE thanks!
Been meaning to get a re-recording done but haven't had a chance because of work and other mixes I've done since. I'll try and get on it for sure, I'm just not sure how soon that will be since I already have plans of putting together a whole new mix that will be of a similar style to this one. ill have to check it out.... d/ling now.... ;)
k... just took a quick listen.... pretty good for a first effort... the beginnning of the set is a little rough.... im guessing it was your speaker problem?.... it does get better towards the end of the set though.... there are a couple of mixes that just need to be tightened up... flow overall is pretty good.. might wanna rearrange a couple of the tracks... (i think it was only one or 2 i heard that i would personally change around) technically... i would just work on making everything tight.. and mabie extending some of the mixes a little bit longer... (fast mixes are boring to me) ... also.. just watch your eq'ing alittle bit.. work on making a smoother transition from one track to another (like i said .. i only noticed this in the beginning of the set) other than that.. nice work.. like clay said.. i deffinalty like your style.... keep it up! :y: -V i hope this helps. ^Needless to say, I would jump at the opportunity with no second thought. One day hopefully...
But many thanks for the sincere appreciation and support ladies. Veni - truly appreciate the constructive criticism, especially for being the first of its kind here on FNK. I'll definitely build on what you pointed out when I take on the final recording of this mix. Once again...MUCH Respect to you all! :) |

-Link has been updated- Despite the crunch time, I managed to squeeze in another go at this mix. I kept some of the old tracks (ones that seem to have stood out) and added a few different ones in there. Hope everyone enjoys :) |

slick man, I dig it. It's jazzy, it's funky, it's got backbone, and like the title implies.. it makes you want to get up and groove along with it. Haha, and almost (dare I say?) disco at times. I don't usually dig music like this but it's undeniably good. and they're right, get those demos out there. You've got talent.
and I dig the Invader Zim avatar, Atlantis |
