__ get your weekly musical slice here _____ pie.zyx.com _________________
Hello music lovers,
Glyn and I have finally launched our very own podcast site! Yes! Go check it out at http://pie.zyx.com . * What is a podcast? Go here for the answer! * Why are we doing this? Well, since we buy SO much vinyl every week, and so much of it never gets the light of day (or night I should say), we needed a place to let all this music come out and play. This is ideal for those of you who are looking for new music and seeking new artists, or want to discover the stuff they missed out on back in the day, but don't know where to look, don't have the massive number of hours that it takes to go shopping for new music, or simply can't afford to buy so much music as we do (trust me, this can be a very time consuming and expensive hobby). * Why would you want to listen? If you want to hear the latest Tiga track, an obsecure Akufen tune, a kick ass breaks mix of Ciara, have no clue who Block Party or The Rapture are, wanna hear what DFA is up to, what the new NIN sounds like, or if you wanna hear that lost 80s Prince or that song you used to dance to at Luvafair back in 1993 and have no idea what it was called, this is the show for you. Each week, we will bring you everything from the latest and not so latest electronica, hipster indie disco punk, hip hop, you name it. If it is good music and we have it on vinyl, chances are you will hear it on our piecast :-) So go on, click away and have a listen. * When can you expect a new piecast? Every Friday, we will record a new set and have it available for you on our site. Also, on the last Friday of every month, we will record a session live from The Eatery (3431 W. Broadyway) from 8pm-12am, so you can join us for some beer and sushi and great eclectic music. * Should you be warned? OK, so a word of warning, this show is not a mixed electronica show with perfect mixing and everything at the same BPM. The genres will vary, so will the BPMs and the mixing is not always smooth. Although we try our best, it can be difficult at times with all the varying music we play, so be warned. Open your mind, your ears and enjoy the show. Enjoy the show, and while you viist the site, feel free to leave comments or ask questions. :-) -farshad Last edited by ffa; Sep 03, 05 at 05:32 PM. |
