Heya guys, here's a quick promo for my latest mixtape:

Funkscendental Meditation - 43 records of funk from all across the board featuring some of Vancouver's best and brightest MCs and vocalists. Hip-hop, midtempo breaks, downtempo, old-school funk, bboy breaks, exclusive blends, scratching and a few other surprises mixed on 2 Technics and a Pioneer DJM-707.

This mix has been 2 months in the making with countless hours in the studio to get all the vocals recorded properly (HUGE thanks to Symmetrik and *especially* ill-esha for all the time spent engineering the vocals and mastering the mix).

I'll usually have a limited amount of advance promo copies available on hand if I go out. Official release should be in Boomtown next week and keep your eyes open for a joint CD release party for Funkscendental Meditation and DJ Wood's The Right Hook.

Brought out some nostalgic memories of her sets at raves back in 2000ish.

although I -guess- I played a lot more raves back in the day when illegal raves could go off at least half the time instead of always being legal Coliseum massives the way they are now..

I miss Mitchell Island, and the Spanish Cultural Centre.

Haha, No disprespect intended... you hit the nail on the head with Spanish. I just haven't seen you play in a while and your rhyming on this made me think about those parties in my hayday of going to raves.

yeah, possibly. I also do a live PA thing every once in awhile and I'm producing all different kinds of music with my partner....
