VESPERS - Full Circle - breaks mix with live saxophone

Hey everyone, got a brand new breaks mix for ya.

This mix is a first for me in many ways. Full Circle is my first officially released set with live saxophone and scratching on it. It's also the first time I've ever put one of my own tracks on a mix. I'm excited to finally be at the point where I can do this. It's 100% breakbeat, spanning genres from funk to acid to nu-skool. I hope you like it.

This mix was recorded using two Techniques 1200 mkII turntables mounted with Ortofon Elekro cartridges, a Pioneer CDJ-800, a Numark CDX, and a Rane Empath DJ mixer. A Korg Kaos Pad mkII was used for effects.

Here's the tracklist:

1. The Fort Knox Five "Dodge City Rockers, All Good Funk Alliance rmx" Fort Knox
2. General Midi "Turn it Loud Rockin mix" Distinctive
3. Albino Allstars "Hit 'Em" Tagsta
4. Superstyle Deluxe "You're Wrong, Skool of Thought rmx" Super Charged
5. Unknown "Hitting the Jack" Party Style
6. Elite Force "Mindfunkpsychedelic" Kingsize
7. Poxy Music "Our Break" Hussle n Bussle
8. Dopamine "Harsh" Titlefight
9. The Gorrilaz "Feel Good Inc "Stanton Warriors rmx" White
10. Deekline & Red Polo "Solid as a Rock" Hot Cakes
11. Coburn "We Interrupt this Program "Stanton Warriors rmx" Data
12. Aquasky & The Breakfastaz "Good Sound" Passenger
13. Taishan "Black Mamba Funk "MYSL vocal rmx" Resin
14. Vespers "Let it Bump" CDR

Thanks for checkin out my tunes.

Vespers is the shit! Not literally of course but the man has got to be one of the top breaks DJs in Western Canada. I am floored that he is not constantly booked in Vancouver. We brought him over to Taiwan for a Heineken Beach party and he totally stole the show. Not only did he have everyone at the party dancing like crazy but he had them dancing in the middle of a howling typhoon! Any DJ that can get hundreds of Taiwanese people dancing out in the middle of an Asian Typhoon has got to have skills.

His live sax over the sets totally takes it to the next level. The stage manager for the event, (yes there was a stage manager, it was a huge show) just kept blathering on to me in broken English about how amazing he was.

Book this boy people. You will not regret it. He also gives a mean inner thigh rub if you are tired after the show.
