wicked venue and sound! props to twisted for an awesome setup in that place. too bad about the non-alcohol situation... the drugs just made the vibe in the venue completely like a rave that ended at 2am lol...

armin's set was not the greatest but so many of my friends were at this event that i had a good time nonetheless.

my ears are ringing..

not many people I knew there, but me and my friends danced a bit in the back where it's wasn't so hot. He played some good tracks but nothing that I was expecting.

I really wanted a beer after my predrunk wore off.

Show was ok... too much like a rave though. I was really dissapointed that there were no places to sit down. I know there was no alchohol, but i still thought the venue would be more clubby.

I really enjoyed the 2nd half of Armins set, although that was the worst encore Ive seen in a looong time... whats with his speakers getting cut right at 2?

The sound was good considering the venue. Earplugs helped get rid off all the sound bleed/reverb extravaganza :)

That's awful. Not too in that league worse than some asshole ruining a night you were really looking forward too.I'd probably feel equally bitter after bs like that. Obnoxious prick, if you ask me. Never fails, there's always a few.

Glad to hear you found some friends to go with Carrie.
Phrentic, you couldn't get a ticket? A friend of a friend said she wanted my extra and on the way down I got the call saying she bailed. Me and a bunch of other people were trying to get rid of extras. One guy even gave one away for free.

I had a really good time though. Joop - The Future made my night, probably my favorite new trancer.
And I thought the venue was great. I never did look for a seat, but a very good suggestion.

I had a good time, and really liked the venue/setup. I agree that the music was mediocre at the start, but towards the end of the night it really picked up.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time whited0ve.

Pictures I took are here.

trancedreams is on a distinguished road
The venue was really nice! (VERY fancy, & all of the visuals looked really great too!)

haha. & I didn't even notice the "rave" vibe caused by all of the drugs. 'Cause I was in the front the whole time, like usual, focused on the ch00ns & what not. But speaking of the ch00ns, Tazix delivered a wicked set like usual. I've never been dissapointed in his set! =) But Van Buuren's set dissapointed me just a bit: It was all of the same stuff I've heard many MANY times before. (...more so @ home than live, of course.) I mean, most of those tracks were released in autumn! =/ I was expecting fresher material. & that is a realistic expectation, because Van Buuren obviously gets new stuff every week. But one could also disregard my opinion on this, 'cause all I listen to is trance... So, of course I will require fresher material than most I guess...

Anyway. I don't know if this particular guy is on here, but I want to thank the guy who held up that Super 8 + DJ Tab - Needs To Feel (Wippenberg Remix) sign. Super 8 + DJ Tab are 1 of my favourites, if not my favourites! & that just made my birthday weekend that much sweeter. :D Thank you again, whoever you are. =)

My friend who I went with, (who isn't on this website, 'cause he's a Hip-hop & a bit of House DJ) also had a stellar time. He was impressed w/ Tazix's set & was in awe w/ Van Buuren's clean/smooth mixing style. & He wants to tag along w/ me to more events in the future, 'cause he's gotten a taste of Vancouver's electronica scene & is hooked.
