F&P were really good, and i ended up having a lot more fun with their set than with Tallas, which was who I went to see the most. Talla played some great trance, but repeated a few tracks from earlier, like the song 'beautiful' and 'world is watching me', but I didnt mind too much.
Really nice funky breaks going on in the second room, was a lot of fun and later into the night it was nice and cool too, a nice change at times :) My only complaint is that the richmond police always show up in huge numbers to the riverside shows. Their 'mobile command unit' outside always makes me sketchy. Especially the giant camera on top of it recording everyone going in and out. Security inside was fine, lots of people smoking doobies getting watched by them and didnt see any get taken. This one guy danced with a water bottle on his head all night, funny as hell :P |

Twisted
It was kinda slow, not too many peeps in the beginning of the night but the numbers eventually built up. Filo & Peri were awesome, Guyver was absolutely on fire, talla a little bit of a disappointment for myself...and in the second room Miss Mars was doing her thing and me and my people were all dancing are asses off. Good fuckin time all around for sure, I had a wicked night!

I got pics. I haven't even looked at them yet though. I'll try get them up in a bit, but it'll probably be tomorrow.
As for the party, I wasn't really feeling the main room for most of the night. I did stay around for a bit for Guyver's set, which was actually pretty decent during the time I was there. Otherwise, the main room was mediocre at best. The second room rocked. Precise and Kraig tore it up. Flave and Hyperfuck tore it up (seemed like that two hours just flew by though). All the other sets were definitely better than what was going on in the main room. Although this show certainly didn't top Twisted 2006, it was another solid Twisted show. |

oh dear god. I don't remember most of the night. I drank, like usual, a lot. Then apparently I decided it was a good idea to do drugs. Stupid idea. I remember I was really excited when Guyver played Differences, don't remember much else. Either I spent a lot of money on who knows what or I lost it. LOL. Apologies to anyone I may have been a prick to, and also thanks to Curtis for getting me drunk in the morning again. Good times. One things for sure I havn't partied that hard in a long time, and hopefully I'll have the sense to quit drugs for good now.

I had a great time, like always. :) Filo & Peri started off a little rock n' roll'ish, if I remember correctly. Then, they went all Electro on us. It felt as if I was literally listening to Ferry Corsten's L.E.F. album. But, hey, I'm not complaining, 'cause I like that album. They ended with, of course, their retarded whore loser new single which makes me want to rip my hair out so bad. =/ But yea. I gotta admit, I thought they were gunna be complete stuck up jerks, 'cause that's what I've been hearing from people over the years, but to my surprise, they seemed really cool. They were walking around & stuff. I thought they'd take off the minute they finished their set...
Anyway. I REALLLLLY enjoyed Talla 2XLC's set. (& that's an understatement.) Even though he repeated a few tracks that others had spun. (But how the hell is he supposed to know that? So, yea.) Also, to the 2 guys who spun second: you guys spinning "Cerf, Mistika & Jaren - Light The Skies" made my whole day. & I wasn't expecting to hear that live any time soon. So, THANK YOU! =) The 2 guys who spun first were cool, also. They played some tech-trance (<3!!), & I'm pretty sure I heard some psy-trance in the mix too. Now, I gotta admit. I can't stand hearing psy-trance @ home, at all. But I've come to the realization that psy-trance sounds KILLER live. Which is great, 'cause now I feel @ ease about seeing Yahel in 2 weeks. =P Also, yea... it was pretty empty in the main room. It seemed like most people weren't really feeling it in there/The 2nd room must've been really good or something. (Edit: from what people have posted, I regret not checking the 2nd room out! =O) But I'm not complaining. It was a pretty refreshing change to be able to dance around & more importantly, breathe. :) & this time, only my right ear is ringing. hahaha. :S Anyway. Keep these events comming, Twisted. :) Last edited by trancedreams; Apr 16, 07 at 03:53 PM. |

Just sorting through the pics now. I'll post a link in a bit.
The pictures definitely look good. I like my new SLR already. I think buying an external flash is definitely on my list of things to do, since there were a few pictures that came out pretty dark.
