I thought Armin played better when I seen him in December. I got there 11ish; Tazix was still up for a bit. He warmed the crowd up pretty damn good.

There was a decent sized crowd, but they didn't seem as "into it" as December. There was the odd "Armin! Armin! Armin!" chant, but that's about it really. It totally wasn't a rave-style atmosphere, and pretty much no one was glowsticking

I did get some pics, but it was actually one of the most frustrating nights of taking pics for me. Most of the people in attendence were in a 40' by 30' space in front of the stage; it was pretty hard to dance, and even harder taking pictures. Getting hit while taking a picture = crappy picture. Also, because of my own stupidity, I didn't get as many pics that turned out as I liked. The pics from early in the night weren't great, but I was grabbing lots later in the night. However, I coulda swore this event was going till 3am, but at 1:55 when the lights first came on, the first thought was "fuck, not as many pics as I would've liked again". It's been a disappointing month of August, to say the least.

The pics I did get and turned out I'll have posted either tonight or tomorrow.

I had a decent time. Like the set for the most part, Heaven Scent was definitely the highlight of my night music wise.

Crowd was decent too, but seemed kind of small. Was also a bit disappointed when the lights came on at 2am as well.

All in all though I enjoyed myself, thanks to Twisted for bringing Armin back again!

Kraig, thought Armin played one of his best sets... like i said i have seen him everytime twisted has brought him to vancouver ( yes everytime) also in seattle etc. Total 10 times..

Yes the crowd was small, but PERFECT. No over selling 19+ crowd, lots of room to dance to some of the best music!

Thought the crowed was excellect. Enjoyed the 19+ far better in Riverside then the usual cuddle puddle 12 years old that inhabit the place during all nighters.

Armin looked SUPER happy, didnt stop hearing the "Armin Chants" the entire night.

Russell's Photos - Armin van Buuren (Aug. 31, 2007)

Way later than expected, but those are the pics I got that turned out. Just going through them all was pretty disappointing, because there were a good 30 or so shots that could've been really good. I'm probably taking a month or so off from taking pics; hopefully that gives me the kick in the ass to do a better job.

Had a lot of fun! 3rd time seeing Armin, and I thought he had a good set. I thought his best set this year was at The Station, but that's probably because it's one of the best venues around. Riverside was cool, but it took so long to get to (I'm from Abbotsford) and it wasn't really a 'rave' atmosphere like someone else said. That was my first time at Riverside so I guess I was expecting a bit more. Don't get me wrong though, it was a lot of fun and I had a couple of friends come who had never been raving before and they loved it so much. It was a good night all around, except for finding out that I somehow lost my GPS in my car that we used to get there, that was a real mystery, and a costly one :(

ehhh...this gig was...interesting. o___O

i'm glad i went, & i had some fun.

the main dissapointment was how most of the crowd were a bunch of drunk fucks, (i got beer spilled all over me multiple times/reminded me of the ferry corsten gig SO much,) who had no idea what they were hearing. =/ (& did anyone see those few couples who were trying to sex each other up but just ended up smushing around 'cause they were completely gone on e?! jesus christ! way to ruin the major fan of trance vibe going on @ the front, morons! take that idiocy to the back!) but that's pretty much beyond the control of anyone here. =P

the venue was fine. i've been there for a handful of raves this year & have never had a problem getting there or leaving there. & it was decorated nicely/wasn't boiling/etc.

van buuren's set was decent; i knew every single freakin' track i.d., once again, just like in december & april. (but i reeeeally could've gone w/out hearing those lame aly & fila tracks. also, heaven scent (greg downey remix), along w/ many others from that night, is gettin' mighty old.)

van buuren's charisma was still there. but not fully. he seemed to be distracted; probably by everyone who wanted a zillion pictures alongside him, instead of letting him do his job...

i don't think he did indeed play for the full 3.5 hours. but i'm pretty sure that was beyond anyone's control here. =P

anyway. if he won't be returning for a full 12 months, it's not a big concern whatsofreakingever. but whenever he's in the mood for another north american tour, you know exactly what to do, twisted. ;) & make sure tazix is there! :D
