Had a great time, Electrified was proof that MLC isn't a dead venue, not by a long shot.
i had a good slot so the room was packed when i got started, the music, crowd and energy were nuts. Room 2 was defenitly the place to be all night. thanks to everyone there during my set. didn't spend more than 5 minutes in the main room, people were going off in there and it was so hot as usual. next up......... Dooms, c ya'll there. :P Last edited by B-Funk; Sep 05, 07 at 12:27 PM. |

haha my review is sooooo out of date!
Electrified was sweet, I showed up before 11 and enjoyed the Shy bros. set. I spent most of the first part of the night in the second room, the main hall was sickly hot but thats pretty common for MLC I find. Stoneface and Terminal played a great set, everytime I was in there they were spinning some great trance that was fun to dance to. I was more in the mood for the second room however and caught more of that show than the main room for the first half or so of the night. the second room got packed, and then packed even tighter, and was awesome for the majority of the night. Bas an Ram were awesome, and hooked me up with a CD on their way out. Thanks a ton guys, that cd is permently fixed in my cdrom drive at work. I caught all of Andys set, which was sick. Some kickass hard dance to burn off some energy with. I was right at the front of the floor for virtually the entire set, probably annoying the hell out of everyone behind me with my photons. Victor H played a sick set, although its too bad Jimmy Chou couldnt join him up there as well. This was the second set of Victors ive caught and both have been killer. Vic also played mainly hard dance, but mixed in some dreamy trance as well. The night was crazy, and I have no regrets about the 65$ I coughed up to attend a few days before the show :) I cant wait for Dooms Night, and am dying for solid to release the lineup so I can start talking to people about it :) It was nice to get 'leaked' some info about whose playing but I cant share it and its DRIVING ME NUTSSSSS Cheers to all the people I met like George, Amber, Dianne, Mary and Rory. LoL actually I guess I met you at apex didnt I rory :) Blast my dying memory! haha another fine show by another fine promotor :) SOLID FOR THE WIN! |

firstly, i wanted to be there @ the start like i really love doing, but work fcuked me around, once again. =/ so, i didn't end up getting there 'til a few minutes before midnight. ugh...i would've liked to hear victor h's set. =( also, to me, stoneface & terminal's set was a dream come true! they started out very progressive & then moved onto more club'ish tracks. also, bas & ram's set started out w/ tech-trance goodness (dj tiesto - lethal industry (richard durand remix), naturally... =P) & then w/ 30 minutes left, they moved onto harder material, which i don't much care for. lastly, i left after 30 minutes of andy whitby's really hard set. but i've gotta agree that the attendance (in the main room) was fairly low, the heat was too high, the energy was very high, the percentage of underage "ladies" in their "impressive" outfits was high...i'd say about 50/50 with the older asian folks, & the amount of these freakin' kids in the bathroom puking their god damn guts out was ... sketchy as fuck. o___O my god... but even still, i still had a decent time. =) Last edited by trancedreams; Sep 08, 07 at 10:56 PM. |
