Not trying to sound like an ass, but although the music was hella sick, the visuals need some serious improvement. And they should they throw in another bartender or two. Only 3 was working, and yes, the tatooed guy is the only fast guy and I only buy drinks from him at the end. The other two female bartenders are eye-candies but just weren't that fast. Still, not really complaining about that. The sound could be better, but I dont mind last night's sound so much if it wasnt for so much microphone sqeaking. But still, it was a wicked show, props to all.
Personally I like DJ SS, I think he totally killed it. Just my two cents. |

-I'm one of, if not the fastest bartender at my work. Which is why i'm always behind the well. And the last time i checked...Yup. Girl. -You know approx. how much drinks costs. yes please. Have it ready. Especially if there is a line. You have time to get it out and decide what you want. I can usually serve the whole line in less time that it takes you to dig to the bottom of your fake Louis. -I'll serve you again if you have tipped me, well before some random who is snapping his fingers at me. EVEN if he has waited longer. Any one who tips deserves to be served first. Suck it up. If you can't afford it, sit at home and buy a 6 pack of Wildcat. I have to pay my bills too. The chances of the bartender having your beer cracked in your hand without you having to ask are very high if you show us a little love at the beginning of the night. |

I've skipped so many lines just by making eye contact with the bartender waiting for douchebag in front of me to finish babbling to the chick he's standing with, and just saying what I want. In fact I think that once happened at Plaza. It was great. I think the guy in front of me didn't even realize I'd been served before him, as I was done my transaction and gone from the bar by the time that he looked up from the girl's tits and was ready to order. I also remember at Pete Tong many years back Jim tipping the bartender a 20+leftover change for 4 drinks, and from that point forward she overpoured for us all night. Getting bar staff on your side has a million perks. |

hands down. was awesome. I was in the best mood ever, so good to see everyone.
Was happy it happened at Plaza over Caprice as Caprice doesn't have a stage and we would have lost so much of the dance floor there. On a note from the bar - we were not expecting that many people; was more walk up then expected - otherwise we would have had more bartenders and prob opened the upstairs. Yes Jason (the guy with tattoos, only guy bartender last night) is awesome. He is my favorite. He was actually very sick but did a bang up job anyways. Sorry about the slow gals, but a lot of the tips on here about why things go slow are very true. Have money in hand and know what you want!! I am bad at that sometimes - I admit. All in all, everything went great and the vibe was bangin. Yes a bit loud at times but I rocked my lil heart out on the dance floor and so did everyone else! Love the dnb scene - if you EVER want g-list to Plaza - please hit me up; anyone! |

Last night was really good!!!
Too much to say really, but Tali was awesome!!! She really knows when and where and how to spit. Really refreshing to not hear some bullshit ruin a track. Enjoyed hearing everyone last night, particularly Bryan Gee and Ed Rush and Optical. Smashing stuff from Ed Rush and Optical!!! Sound was a bit weird at times, and that mic shit didn't happen all that much (still really loud though). Anyways, thanks to everyone who put this on, I enjoyed it. There definately shoulda been more bar staff. Good seeing everyone I saw last night. |

me too!!! wicked night, I'm so glad that I made it out last night. great sets all night long! It was nice to see some familiar faces. I guess I'll have to make it out to a few more shows now to get back in touch with everyone.

Best DnB show I've been too.
Tali is so awsome, it was cool to see the preformers enjoy themselves as much as they did. Thanks for the support Revolver. Yeah man life is crazy good right now. ppcock, the trance is all in your head. I thinkl you've played "out of the blue" a few too many times. Nice to meet Trixx and Last Werd in person. Hope you like the demo Alla. Jungle Soilder of the night Award goes too, drum roll.... Shell. Wow were u ever sick, get better=) next up, Melente!!! |

A lot of the times, the fact that nobody is tipping has little to do with the bartender, and more to do with the people. If your going to tip, you'll tip cause your not a dick. You might tip more if the service is better. But you'll still tip. You must have caught him during a bad time. Excellent tipper = 25-40% Great = 20-25% Good = 15-25% Alright = 10-15% Grrrr = Anything less then 10% |

I remember one time there was vids of some crappy ass skateboarding... really, try a little harder than that. So I agree, that the visuals were as terrible as the feedback from the mics. |

every bar I go to, except for plaza.
I am constantly skimming the bar tenders, looking for an opening. When i see a bartender look around, I know it's my cue to move right beside everyone who (and it seems this way) thinks standing in line is a great way to let people know you have money. Therefore, I tell him my drink of choice and that's done. I go back and party my face off. As an added tip... tip. When you greet your bartender for the first time. Tip him/her HUGE. After that, if you're standing in line, you'll get served first, then drop your standard $2.00 each drink to give him/her some love. I've done that many, many, many, many times at various bars, after which, if there's 10 people in line, he'll wave me down, tell me to go to the side if I want any more drinks. and as an added bonus, He'll even give me a few shots on the house. |

Its been a while since we had a show like that and it was definately necessary. I almost thought we had to switch over to house or top 40 if u want to go to a good party.
Brian Gee's set was SICK!! The start of his set brought back some good old feelings that I just can't describe. And Ed Rush (or Optical?) throwing down the epilogue remix made my night. Sick... even for wobble. All in all, wicked good times. Thanks Jamie and crew for putting this on. Looking forward to what this summer has in store for us. |

The only other time i've been to plaza the bartender got pissy because we didnt want a shot with a fruit fly in it. But yeah, i'm not exactly expecting bartenders to be anything special. I just wish all clubs had those ice chests filled with beer away from the bar, so much faster. To be fair, service in canadian restraunts, stores, clubs ect is horrible. ^ jay i really liked the set you played...
you were playin some really heavy 4/4 elctroey type of stuff towards the end...its a was fuckin gold! 24k. :) anyways it was funny cause...i was leaning against the very back at the bar with my drink watching the bartending fiasco happen when jay auto stands beside me with a 20 dollar bill and says to me..'john,im going to show you how to properly order drinks all nite, im just going to buy a beer and give him this 20 for it with no change'..so, needless to say auto did this, and i never saw him wait for a drink again...even when there was a big line up he went right to the side of the line, bartender spotted him, and got served right away. so yesterday i did the same thing at lotus longweekend....my first round of drinks i overpaid and tipped the bartender really well.i said to the guy 'ok remember me...im gonna come up right to the side of the bar everytime' and i did...and sure enough even though there was a huge gong show line he spotted me right away and i was served first. again...tipping him well cause i appreciated the service, and he appreciated my tips and no bullshit ordering. he even comped a full round of drinks for me (heineken,2vodka wterlime,2xjager) for me.. worked like a charm and im gonna do this everytime im out now...... |
