Progressive House -- does it speak to u?

I dont see many fnk'ers visiting the room on saturday nite's - one of vancouver's most happening progressive house and electro clubz. Personally, i've been a devoted regular for years, each week I crave to hear those dirty beats and wicked basslines.

I'm just wondering if you guys are down with it? Are you down with dj's as Sander Klienenberg? Max Graham? Danny Howells (playing on Monday 30th btw but not at room) or Antoine Clamaron?

Come on people... open up a little bit. That club is dope.

yeah. speaks to me too. usually it says 'this music sucks, go home.'

the only things i've liked out of progressive house have been x-press2 and the filterheadz

Totally agree. Believe is a wicked night. When we go out it is usually there. It's a total other side of Vancouver nightlife (and people) really. Just different groups / worlds. More Yaletown kids.

im not the biggest prog. fan, but i like the redroom quite a bit. my fav. club to go to when i go out. it pulls in a great fun loving crowd and even the hoochies dress well.

Why do people associate electro with prog house ? Believe is filled with Techhouse, hardly any prog ever, some electro at times

so not true.
the begining of believe was always prog... hardly ever tech house..
the big names that come down always play prog.. tribal... and yes tech house... the second room does have electro..
when was the last time u were there?

So where were you all last night eh???

I remember when I was first intorduced the red room back in April. I never knew we had such great locals and such a devoted house loving scene in Vancouver. What I like best is the variety of ppl you find there. Everyone is there becouse of the tunes. The biggest complaint I get from ppl not wanting to go seems to be about the drug use or 'adult ravers'. I dont know why some ppl make such a big deal about it. Especialy since most of you grew up in this culture watching 13 year olds over dose at 5am in some sketchy rave? I don't even drink half the nights I go there and still manage to have a great time and enjoy the awsome music. Oh and if your issue is cover charge... messege the ppl of beleive and request g-list, I 'beleive' there more than happy to have some fresh new faces come check it out. Or give me a shout and I may be able to help you out too.

Beleive has over 10 resident DJ's + guest. RC one of their top residents, is one fine electro/sweedish house DJ. Also a bunch of there other residents play a wide range of house from tribal-prog-electro-trance-house... its all mixed up, but always the best :D It really depends on what night you go and who is spining at the time (or what they choose to spin)

the only thing that pisses me off about the redroom is the fuckin line up....

takes fuckin forever to get to the front... then people just keep walking in front.. bouncers let shit loads of people just walk in.. its fuckin bullshit.. makes me not want to go there.. i hate that place for theline but love it for the atmosphere and music

^^ Ya man....when I was there getting a drink at the bar on the side, I saw this chick in the corner of my eye kinda pushing her way to the front (I was the next in line) and I just flat out put out my arm, and motioned to get to the back.....God. *groan* But ya, definately a fun place that's for sure.

i personally dont dig progressive house music, i find it too repetitive and bangy! and that is why i only been to Believe ones! besides all that, its pretty sketchy crowd in there! seems that people go there to get fuked up, not to enjoy the music!

however, i do love deep, funky and soulful house! and thats too bad that blue aint happening anymore!
