They look great. I've always wanted to get one but there is a lot of risk of blood poisoning, varying from mild to extreme risk, depending on what is used. I've heard of silicon being used and that's not exactly a pleasant thought. I have read that there is a body modification artist in the states perfecting the method and making it virtually risk free though.

Absolutely! I think by 'nuts' he means out of his own mindset ;)
Personally it's all good and dandy that you do to your own body, however it sure makes approaching ya lil tougher at times. |

Most defiantly, perhaps I'm not as bold as you but a fella with a horns and a burned plaid face isn't my usual type for chitchat. I only wonder what we may have in common. Don't go thinking I shun persons with extra invested into their physical appearance, I simply have not seen many with this type of extreme body modifications.

Well, if you think about it, someone with a personality that is attracted to something as out there as extreme body modification most likely has an interesting conversation up his sleeve regardless of what you have in common. That or he could be a masochistic douchebag and you'll regret the next 20 minutes of your life.

FYI, they also use teflon, or coat the metal implants with silicon. Subdermal Implant - BME Encyclopedia And if you want something a little more extreme, there's always Transdermal implants. |

i wouldn't do it to myself either.
i'm still not seeing how it or scarring are any different than piercing or tattooing. you're just used to seeing every second kid walking down the street with an eyebrow ring and an armband, not screw-on devil horns & twisted braid scars running down their arms. |
