I like loose fitting clothes too. GIVE YOUR OLD CLOTHES TO ME :cheesy:

I was considering grey last weekend at Oakridge...but then I decided not to, because I already have a lot of dark clothing. Summer clothing needs to be more bright. I'll probably get mulled grape, or pink, or something. Suggestions? :)

I've seen the wonderful things TNA has done for the booty. Did they do the same for the hoodie?

That stupid little insignia transfer thats nothing but a mere glue transfer , costs about $1 to add onto a piece of material.

Thankfully my mother is a designer and I've been educated on knowing whats a ripoff and whats worth the purchase.

The breakdown of TNAs yoga inspired stuff is probably the biggest rip off I've seen.

Material: Stretch cotton / Spandex / Lycra blend
Costs: anywhere between 5 - 20 bucks a meter depending on who the supplier is.

The hoodie Jacket =
1.5 metres of material = 10 - 30 bucks ( considering the size of most of the stuff , id say closer to 15 bucks at most..their stuff runs small )
2 metres of piping = 3 bucks
Logo = 1 dollar
TOTAL cost in materials = roughly $20

The yoga pant =
about 2 meters of material = 20 bucks
2 meters of piping = 3 bucks
logo = 1 dollar
TOTAL cost in materials = roughly 25 bucks.

The basic cost of that outfit should be no more than 50 - 60 bucks.
The two pieces take about 2 hours to make , and at sewers being paid about 10 - 12 bucks an hour , add on another 20 - 24 dollars
or so , and that outfit , including labour costs and materials should cost no more than 80 dollars .

I've seen those outfits retail downtown toronto at about 200 dollars a piece , if not better.
There's nothing special about the design , nothing special about the material , and nothing special about ANY of their clothing.
I wish someone would fuckin boycott them already
Nice rant. I agree with you on most of it, TNA clothing should not really be that expensive. I suspect that because so many people are wearing them, they raise the prices. So basically if you wear it, people know exactly how much it cost, and can think "Oh, she can afford TNA, she's not poor." They MIGHT think that, they might not. People wear it just to be popular. I especially HATE those older, married, with kids 40 something women who have TNA t-shirts, TNA jackets, TNA plastered on their butts, and a TNA handbag. They revolt me. I mean, you're not a teenager.

Tna sweatpants and yoga pants make your butt feel beautiful, according to my friend, who owns 5 pairs of those pants. 2 in the same color and style. She said she bought the 2nd pair because sometimes when she might want to wear it, it might be in the wash.

I can fathom paying up to $150 bucks for an extremely well tailored , and custom fit pair of jeans.
I cannot fathom going to a designer store and seeing the flimsy stonewashed denim jeans they sell , hanging on the rack with a pricetag of over 400 bucks. When I can get that material at a flea market for 3 bucks a meter.

Unfortunately its the trend that spikes the price of clothes , not the label.
I like these crown jeans in Aritzia. They look totally sexy, but they are bit overpriced. $295? If it was 150-200, I'd totally snag them.

A lot of other stores are overpriced...400 dollars...I can buy like, 10+ pairs of Levi's with that.

You can go to levi's and get a custom made pair of jeans for less.
But Levi's won't have the crown. :cheesy:

NOT sure if these are the exact ones, but they look close enough. I must go back to Artizia to drool over them again. :(

What do you look like? Skin tone and hair colour makea difference in choosing colours, I think. Sight unseen, pink might be a fun, summery choice. =)

Guys its cool every once in a while to come out of hiding and take off your hoodies esp. when the sun is finally coming out. I'd like to see more threads about beaters, flip flops, sun dresses, and cute capri pants.

^^im not a huge lulubuff myself but now that i work there i understand their concept a bit better. their clothing is function base.. if you're a cyclist, runner, yogi you will benefit from the clothing the most. They have some really techy details that i never knew about and i appreciate now. Even though they do get the grade 7 clientel that wears it cuz its "cool"....at least they're buying clothes that will last them a longlonglong time. i personally have one pair of groove pants taht i bought 5-6 years ago? and they still fit perfectly. tna is a whole diff story.. trendy trendy trendy. tna pants vs lulu pants.. diff fabrics, diff details, may be worth the extra few dollars.

Chocolate dark brown hair, brown/green eyes. Skin tone....around the color of your skin tone, judging by your user pic. :) Do they have red for the hoodies? :/ I'll have to go back and check.

Edit:
Went out to Oakridge....they have no red.

CONCUR! It took me over a year of rebellion before I bought my first pair of lulu yoga pants. 2 1/2 years later and not a single hole, no fading, and no stretching. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Not to mention its sophisticated looking athletic wear which helps someone like me who works with students in PE classes and gymnastics. Every single TNA pant ive bought has has some kind of hole or rip in them. Not to mention my tna sweat pants really stretched out after the first wash. Lulu over tna any day.

Really? I'll have to pick up a pair, then. What colors do they have? Or is it just in black?

You guys have....5 or 6 pairs of 300 dollar jeans? LOL.

Do naughty coworkers or guys slap your asses? Crown bums are damn sexy. :amuse:

Can you guys tell me if they're durable/stretch/fade or not? I'm thinking of getting a couple pairs myself.

I love the Groove pant too, I got mine roughly 6 years ago and I still wear them and they are in great shape :)

I'm feeling somewhat annoyed. I was at Aritzia trying out a pink hoodie, (from what veN said) when this woman with her daughter suddenly started talking to me. She was all like "You should get a really tight fit....it's what people wear TNA for, the tight fit, it compliments your body..." I kindly told her that I was able to shop for myself, thank you very much, but she sat down and kept trying to persuade me to get an S instead of the M I was getting, which was slightly loose on me. I told her that I liked loose clothing, but she was all "If you like loose clothing, don't buy TNA, it's for TIGHT fits." I told her, quite kindly, to please leave me alone. She "hmphed" and strutted away. As I was modeling it for myself in the mirror, I kept seeing her sneaking peeks at me, and whispering to her daughter.

I thought she was retarded. It's my opinion that counts, not hers. If she likes tight clothing, go buy all the tight TNA clothing that she wants. But don't try to change my opinion on what I want. Don't you just hate people like that?

Btw....is TNA REALLY supposed to be tight-fitting? :/ I've never heard that.
