it makes her look sooooo disproportionate

I think Carrie looks great in her white pants!!! :)

White jeans are a lot harder to pull off than white pants. Most people don't have the skin tone for white (or any other pastel color), but many just don't get it.

I <3 white linen pants when the summer gets hot - they are sexy and natural and loose, unlike white jeans which remind me of grade 6 and 1992
