That said, there are comfortable things that are ugly, and there are also uncomfortable things that are ugly. I personally have a hard time buying, wearing or liking anything that I find uncomfortable.

I have an ex who just couldn't understand why everyone laughed at her when she refereed to lulu lemon as fashionable. Take a tip from japan, people dress in comfortable clothing at home, outside they wear decent clothing and don't look like shit. Fashionable can be comfortable, but don't just suddenly forget your fashion sense. Women you don't sound any smarter using the "its comfortable" excuse when you look ugly, it doesn't fix the fact your still ugly.

Although I guess they can forgive the fact that your in school and can not afford a suit yet. But still... uggs and sweats are pretty lame. I think ppl have taken this "comfort" belief too far and are now dressing in ridiculous miss match out fits if to say "i dont care what I look like and either should you... so there". I said I don't think comfort should DICTATE fashion, I didn't say that comfort should be written off altogether.
Basically, if there are two pairs of shoes and one pair are absolutely stunning but rank maybe a 6.5 out of 10 on the comfort scale and the other pair are bland but rate a 10 on the comfort scale I think the first pair should be chosen. There's this Iranian proverb that I've been hearing from my mother since I was 11 and it translates into "kill me but make me beautiful" and I think it's totally appropriate. Women go through extreme lengths to be beautiful but if you compare women in North America to women in Europe and the middle East I'd say women here are far more laid-back. That's not necessarily a bad thing but you really don't see people getting dressed up often.
