DJ FORM (and/or) KAOS

hey, i was browsing a linux messageboard last week and i saw either DJFORM or DJKAOS posting... im not sure if it was you guys but hopefully it was

anyways, im going to install linux on my computer in the summer and try and familiarize myself with it before i go into my IS-linux option at school next year

just wondering which distro you would recommend? currently im thinking about getting mandrake since its said to be good for beginners

also, any tips on installation? or books i should get to read up more on linux?

mandrake or redhat.... once you get familular with it you should move on to something like debian or slackware..... but if you go with mandrake or redhat you better patch yourself up right away because there are lots of exploits for those distros
