update #2:

after 2 shitty motels, 5 meals, 5 tanks of gas and over 2000 km of driving, i am finally 60 km from the manitoba border.

the locals are awesome! this one guy drove behind us for 60 km to the next gas station because we were on empty when we met him and he didn't have a jerry can! we offered him some skrill for the kind gesture, but he just told us "if you run into someone who needs help, just make sure you help him like i helped you" hell of a guy! :)

i'll update as soon as i am in alberta.
