december 15th is the deadline for all submissions for the fourth edition of the magazine, its winter one.

we are looking for: short stories, essays, graphic design, spoken word, poetry, photo essay, non fiction, screenplays, stageplays, music (the magazine comes with a CD of local Vancouver artists). basically, you get the idea. if it's creative and cool, we want to publish it.

unfortunately not free. we hardly have any advertisers and our money comes mostly from fundraisering parties that we hold every so often. the magazine is printed on high quality paper and ink and it also includes a CD of local music. 8 bucks an issue.

the website lists the places where the magazine can be bought. chapters robson will soon be added to that place, as i'm working with them now on carrying the magazine.

multiple is okay, but don't send in like a zillion things. especially pictures, just send a few that you like. not like 20.

how long should the short stories be? i tried looking at the rules, but it was unclear.

heh, you're not an idiot. our submission guidelines for fiction are pretty vague. that's one thing that i want to fix.

we won't publish an entire short story if it's super long. 2500 words would probably be the longest thing we'd publish in the magazine. if it's anything longer than that, we'd put an excerpt in and then have the rest available to read on the website.

edit: remember we also take music submissions, as there is a CD that comes with each magazine. we're open to all genres, electronic or otherwise.
