a jamaican lady told her that they're nowhere near as good as the ones in jamaica. germans feel the same way about schnitzel.
haha, hollie may have taken over your place at that place, but, trust me, you two are as different as beans and peas. she's a weird one. |

well, we are better than robyn, so it shoudl only naturally follow. I am going to write some essays now.
These are my topics, I have to choose two: 1) Compare and contrast the attitude to material reality/nature (including human earthly existence) in three or more of the works studied this semester 2) Compare and contrast the concept of God (the way in which God is represented) in three or more of the works studied this semester 3) Compare and contrast the attitude to the afterlife (and/or transcendent, ultimate reality) in three or more of the works studied this semester 4) Compare and contrast the attitude to the self in three or more of the works studied this semester 5) Compare and contrast the attitude to evil and/or suffering in three or more of the works we have studied this semester 6) Religion can be defined broadly as the human quest to explore the relationship between the lived moment which is ephemeral and its ultimate meaning. Discuss this phenomenon in relation to three or more of the works we have studied this semester 7) Compare and contrast the attitude to peace and violence in three or more of the works we have studied this semester 8) Compare and contrast the attitude to holy scripture or revelation in three or more of the works we have studied this semester 9) Compare and contrast the way in which three or more of the works we have studied this semester understand the relationship between faith and reason I'm thinking 2 and 5. |

Bible and the Qur'an for starters....and then I can easily branch out with Elie Wiesel's Night, or the bhagavad gita. If I was bold I could tie in some Pascal or Nietzsche but if I try and tackle the philosophers I always end up leaving a hole in my argument of which wise men can shoot me down :(
