Attention all Bridesmaids
My sister has recently gotten engaged and asked me to be a bridesmaid. (and where a fuschia dress btw............)
As this is my first time being a Bridesmaid..and having been to few weddings..I was looking for a little bit of advice. Her good friend is the maid of honour..and seems to be taking charge in any and everything..I am really not sure of my responsibilities? http://www.bridesmaidaid.com has a lot of information but im not sure how relative it is? I feel because I am her sister I should be planning the shower/stag/etc.. Helping her pick out her dress/invitations/flowers/etc..but am feeling a bit left out since her friend is married and going full force with everything. I know I need to be as helpful and supportive as I can.. Any advice? Thanks ladies (And gents if applicable =x ) |

I have been a maid of honor twice and a bridesmaid once, and looks like ill be a matron of honor next year, just found that out tonight!
As for responsibilities, I wouldnt ask us what they are, Ask your sister. Every bride is different, some have an exact schedual and things they want you to do, others (like me) Dont have anything certain. I single handadly with my mom planned my whole wedding, with Tidbits from my Maid of Honor when she could (she was a flight attendent so busy busy!) The best advice is on the day Try and not let any mishaps reach her ears, take care of any problems befor she hears about it, listen to her and her wants, and get her to have a drink befor it starts! Traditionally the MOH plans the staggette and shower and all that junk. Talk to your sis, she will be the best help :) |

I was so nervous! I'd give you advice if I could sweetie but I've been a bridesmaid once and I was a last min pick up lol Just make sure the wedding day she's happy and she's calm. Per wedding jager bombs work very well too! |

I just kind of feel left out of the 'important stuff' Im her sister and know her better then her Maid of Honour. I guess I'll just go with the flow! As far as the dresses go...really I will NEVER wear a fuschia dress ever again..and I can totally see her picking out horribly unflattering dresses and thinkings its funny. Shes cruel! |

Yea well express your interest in being involved! Im sure she will love the help :) Eeek id nevev have put my bridesmaids in something unflattering and wierd. Try and see if she will let you help. I recomend www.davidsbridal.com for ideas, for her dress and Bridesmaids, the prices are so much better, its only in the states but so worth the trip! |

I love that dress and was highly considering it or this one http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesma...id=7991&cfid=8 But then i saw the other ones locally. I also recomend when she wants to look for BM dresses to look everywhere i got mine at Le Chateau and my friend got hers at Bryans or something like that! |

hehe didn't you even give him the choice to see strippers on the bachelor party if he wanted but he chose a bar without them anyways. Nathan's such a sweetheart :)
