"Yoga Shape" only takes place on Friday nights... They have other classes, but ya I dunno. depends on what night. If I could be spending time with Chris, I'd rather. I liked the Friday night bc it's something for me to do while he's at work.

I couldn't find it either, but it was in the Leisure guide. It's at the West End Community Centre held on Friday nights from 6-7:15pm. It's on a drop-in basis (which is $4.95/session, or you can buy 10-visit cards and monthly passes for reduced per session rates). The description in the leisure guide is as follows:

A non-cardio class using yoga moves and small weighted balls to improve flexibility and strengthen and tone the entire body. It is especially good for the core/abdominal region. (fitness level: challenging)

nev, i am interested!
tho hesitant as i have very little yoga experience!!

the price is awesome, but with it always being drop in do you think it would be difficult for a beginner to get started? maybe you could be my coach?

i mean it's the west end... they are just saying "challenging" to scare off the old ppl, right?

Awesome!! In my experience (I've been taught by atleast 5 or 6 yogis) they show you a variety of ways to do the same pose (to provide more or less challenge), as yoga is a self-paced, individual practice. I don't think this class will totally kick our asses, but they likely call it "challenging" because a lot of drop in classes are easy/for beginners. This one seems like it will get our blood moving! But yes, I will totally hold your hand through it =)
