LOL.....everyone is traveling...

i did southeast asia a few years ago. but im workin on going to central asia right now for the spring time.

without a doubt this is the most pain in the ass trip ive put together. i may have to fly through india to make entry into tibet or make my entry through southeast asia and connect.

and it also looks like i will have to pay a tour group to cross into tibet and then break off when im in country but then indie travelers face alot of headaches with the red chinese about papers and visas.

eaither way ive decided that for the first half of 08 i want to spend wandering around in all the dharmic countries. i wanted it to be NZ real bad and for the longest time but with the passing of my elder i had to remain here in Canada.....

but from what im reading i think ill really enjoy central asai....looks very interesting and lots of good material for photos/journaling

^Ive met travelers who have done Tibet and Napal, and it is a real pain. You have to pre organize your trip and declare what days you will be where and at what check point etc. One german girl I knew who went said that they got caught in a storm and almost didnt make it to a check point in time. If that was the case they would be deported out immediately no matter what. Although it might be a bit different now as this was 5-7 years ago.

lol i know...im reading non stop about it...i just want to go even more now:nuts::nuts::nuts::nuts:.

that region has always been seem to be the 'superbowl' of backpacking i am reading and have heard that there are some ways to get in and move around without being 'locked in' with a group but it seems really challenging....i think the stories i can find there would be worth it though...

^Next on my list as well. Post bachelors, I hope to spend some time exploring that region of the world. Brad Pitt's got nothing on me, i'll spend 8 years there dammit.
Don't forget Dharamsala.

I had a huge plan to go to Africa. Overland from South Africa to Egypt, fly to Morocco, then to London and home.
But I put it on the backburner. I had a budget of $8000 for 8 months which isn't so bad. My flight is free because of airmiles.

I'm going to Asia again, visiting new countries and then some the same with Sully. main reason is it'll only cost me about $3500 for 5 months. Since I don't throw many parties anymore I don't make as much as I used to!!! lol

Simple solution, start throwing more parties!
