Adidas won't accept a Canadian credit card on their US site, regardless of address for shipping. It's all good actually, I just checked again and the Canadian site finally added the same product :) should have looked first (funny as I've looked everyday for like two weeks now)

if you do it a lot, just swing down to a bank of america and open an account, you get a free visa chequeing card, and voila, american card in your name :)

You can get a PO box in Blaine on a pay-per-use basis IIRC. Basically they call you when you get a package and you pay to pick it up. You might have to pay a registration fee or something like that, but it works.

^^ I have access to a PO box, but basically all the solutions above would be
1) Drive to the US, try to get a credit card at a US bank even tho I'm Canadian (good luck, tho I'm sure it's possible for people with really good credit, but not likely for me)
2) Arrange to have my billing and shipping address for my brand new US Credit Card sent to a PO Box (yeah fucking right)
3) order the item in question.
4) drive back to my PO box in the states to pick it up


ok so what sound easier? doing that or asking for a favour? hmmmmm.....

Lucky for me, the Canadian site actually did get the item I wanted, (tho when I called them last week they couldn't promise me it would ever be available in Canada - hence me trying to find other options)
