it's pretty affordable, but the only problem is you can only work max 20 hours per week ON CAMPUS (read: I'm probably not going to bother since min wage is under $7 in FL). I'm planning to do a year at community college and then apply for scholarships to either UM/FAU/UNC/Duke depending on where we end up (based on Tim's acceptance to med school)

i didn't look into that much.
my girlfriend liz got a bachelor degree as an agriculture consultant.
i guess there's fine print somewhere that allows them to work in the us as a consultant for a farm or trainer, only thing needed is a signature from the employer.
this is something i'm going to thoroughly investigate and if the laws are still the same i will probably pursue it as my ticket to entry.
nicest thing is that they don't usualy put a time limit on how long you can stay with this visa. if they do it's even easier to get an extension or a new visa the second time around.
