Hey Myles,

You guys went to Ko Samet a few times if memory serves. Do you know of any budget places to stay there? Asiarooms only shows 2 and they look shitty. A friend of mine whos in hong kong is planning on going there this weekend. Thanks!

okay, so the cheapest found was Naga resort, they have bungalows from like 300BHAT ($10CAD) a night. you need to pay a taxi from the boat dock to get into the island, expect to pay 200-300BHAT each but no more. also try to lower that price by grouping a bunch of people off the boat onto the taxi so it's nearly full and haggle your individual prices down. bare in mind the island is a 'national park' so you will be taxed again on entry by the police, I think it's 300-400CBHAT each. let the taxi driver know the resort your will be staying at prior to getting into the taxi to avoid any hikeup in price later.
