next friday i get certified.. and my instructor says unless I do something really retarded I'll be certified. He's already booked me for a fun dive on the 31st, What do you guys say about a trip to whytecliff a weekend in Sept?
First dive, 60ft, second dive 30-40? I've mastered my RDP and Matt is super expirienced. Let's go find that giant octopus, We can rent from IDC

You ask me this every time there's a dive topic on here lol.
Depending on the amount of time you've been out of the water you should take a Refresher Course. Its pretty much just a dive with an instructor as you go over basic skills and the instructor assesses your skill level if you require more training or not. But there is no law or anything saying you need to, its mainly how well you feel about your skills in the water.
On that note, I do a 'practice' dive with anyone I dive with when its our first dive. So that I personally can assess your skills and how you react underwater and such. Mainly just to find out if I feel safe as you as my partner. So, if your cool with that, I can go over some stuff with you and see how you do.

Uhhh, you're not an instructor so we can't do your "skills" unless you were not talking about teaching us stuff.

I dont want to sound offensive, I would totally not want to go with me either.
Maybe I should get a few dives in with my instructor first. Then I'll come knockin.

Actually, I am an instructor, PADI OWSI/SI and Im qualified MSDT.
But Im just not working at a shop right now.
But the skills we would be going over would be for my personal knowledge, they would not be an official course and I would not be 'teaching' you. I would be no different then one diver helping another diver.
