Just reinstalled windows, running XP SP3.

When I try and install adobe reader.. i get this:

Searched it on google, cant seem to find a fix. havent dabbed on the reg stuff yet.

I do know that framework didnt install properly.

God it's been ages since I fucked around with the windows installer.

I remember a useful msiexec command for re-registering the installer but I've since forgotten it.

Have you tried re-downloading the framework and reinstalling?

Though I dun think that'd be the problem, more indicative of a bigger problem with the installer.

edit: Wouldn't hurt to try Re-downloading the installer and installing it on top of itself, then try again.

Oh, and the re-registering commands I forgot about were:

msiexec /unregserver
msiexec /regserver

(from start->run->cmd obv)

well, i downloaded the 3.1 and it said i didnt need to cause it was already in there.

So i looked at 4 but it said it was only for vista.
checked another site - said it supported xp sp3. downloaded it.. worked.
