Crooked King

I just stumbled across a tv adaptation of Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series.

It seems that Sam Raimi is producing it, this could be a good thing or a bad thing.

There's definitely potential if it's handled correctly.

Does Bruce Campbell have a small, ineffective yet entertaining role?

crookedking, you'll like this too:

"Variety reported on 17 January 2007 that the rights for A Song of Ice and Fire have been sold to HBO with the intent of turning the novels into a television series."

"In September 2008, according to Martin's not-a-blog, HBO exercised its option to buy the television rights to produce A Game of Thrones. Martin is quick to point out the project has still not been greenlit, but it is an encouraging first step. In November, Variety reported that HBO has committed to filming a pilot episode before a decision is made in regards to filming the entire first book of the series."

That's kinda what I was hoping for.

As long as Bruce gets to quip to his heart's delight throughout, I'll be happy.

I can say for certain that Goodkind's 'Legend of the Seeker' isn't all that great of a tv series. I'll admit that it's not TOO bad but I certainly don't see it lasting long.

I think Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" series would be much better if it was adapted into 4 movies or something along those lines. The part where I'm seeing the TV adaptation fall apart is it's departures from the books themselves. These little subplots that have little to do with the actual books are pretty tedious.
