Mr. Photographer (Sammy)
Hey hun, just thought I'd make another photoshoot proposition with you.
I've been wanting/NEEDING some awesome editorial pictures to submit to magazines etc. and I know for a fact you could help supply me with some beautiful pictures if you were up for it. I know you're really getting into the high fashion realm of photography, so I was thinking we could mesh that with my retro and maybe LIGHT fetish fashion (as in no nakedness or candles up the bum, just hot, tight, shiny outfits and big shoes haha) and come up with some really high class/key retro fashion photos. I'm not sure if you've heard of David Perry, but he's one of my favorite retro pin up phtographers and he produces some very high quality work, alot of which has inspired me to contact you about doing a shoot like this. Octavio and Danielle Emmerick have some pretty high quality stuff as well, I LOVE the use of exagerated colour to the point where it almost (and somtimes is) surreal, and If I remember correctly you do as well. Anyways, maybe we can get together and talksoon. I know you're working in Port kells so maybe I can catch you one day while you're out here in surrey (LUCKY BOY!). For now I'll post some of the inspirational pictures so you can let me know what you think. To sum it up I want Big hair, big shoes, big colour, big HOTNESS! (Some of the magazines etc. I want to submit to are very popular in the hot rod and pin up world, which isprobably not where you want your career to head but its still great publicity and not to mention some more variation in your portfolio. I'm also planning on applying to Suicide Girls as well which has a huge fan base) Check out this colour---> http://www.whiterabbitstudio.com/gallery_vintage.html Ok well.. I can't find as many pictures as I thought I could. And this damn heat isn't helping my brain function. But basically what I want to aim for is HIgh Fashion with my personal retro twist. |

oops.. forgot links
www.danielleemerick.com www.whiterabbitstudios.com http://www.davidperrystudio.com/ (see colour pin ups, and hot rod pin ups) http://www.winkytiki.com/girls/index.html Keep in mind not everything on those sites is what I'm getting at, but some of them are and the colour is GREAT I also have some friends with REALLy hot classic cars so maybe we can think about doing something on/in/around one of those. I'm really glad you picked up on what i was saying because those pictures really don't represent what I had in mind very well. Well, if i look at them they do but it would take forever to point out the certain parts of the photograph that caught my eye.
I thought I'd mentioned that I was planning on bleaching my hair and getting a shorter fourties cut a la Gwen in their "sunday morning" video. Sometimes I'm sketchy about doing anything drastic to my hair before shoots but I think this would be perfect for it. I'd love to do an outfit thats also more 40's/ early 50's as well for the "rockabilly" allure, but my hair will also hopefully be short enough to maybe do some finger wave type of style as well. I'm going to talk to my hair dresser when i get my hair done, and ask her if she'd be willing to do my hair for the shoot. And I can take care of make up and styling of course. |
