Okay this thread is getting REALLY annoying so I will comment to put some concerns at rest.
First off, you are correct that a party called "Dooms Night" is scheduled for Halloween weekend - this is a Shy Bros/SOLID show. Normally it is common courtesy for promoters to call one another on shows/dates to avoid competing dates. This is especially with massives at venues like the PNE Coliseum as it is obviously impossible to do two shows, of the same size and have those both well attended. Spooky will be in its ninth year and is something that has happened year after year yet unfortunately, we did not receive a call from SOLID or the Shy Bros about Dooms Night... The reality - competition is good BUT, only in a good market and for shows not on the same day. By two companies throwing competing shows, it only ends up hurting the two shows and eventually, will leave no one left in the scene to throw parties. -- This just simply isn't healthy for the scene in general. With a lack of good/legal venues available, our options are limited as to the massives we can throw and where we can throw them. I can tell you this though... Twisted is planning something, and we do have some MASSIVE headliners planned (even I am excited about these ones), some of which are already booked and that can only be booked to Twisted events! The show we are planning may be in a new venue or one we have used in past and it may be a 19+ event with liquor, or not... We are exploring all options... Stay tuned! For those that are anxious now, I know some jokes were made in this thread about Halloween being 3 months away, but it's awesome to see that kind of energy this early on. We ask simply this - Wait until all of the details for either show is announced and make your decision at that time. To all those that have been loyal supporters to Twisted/Spooky over the years, thank-you for that! If you have any questions, let me know. Cheers. |

And trance4life -- it is exactly that kind of support, that keeps us wanting to throw parties! Peace. |
