I got 'released' from work on Tuesday for some really shifty reasons, been checkin out the college this week for some programs coming up in Feb. Otherwise, not a lot man.
Bars and beating off can only entertain a guy so long. Also looks like i'll be down, for sure, sometime at the end of October! What courses are you takin in school right now? |

actually i'm probably taking a lot of courses that would interest you. i think anyway:
first term: Philosophy 230: morals and ethics sociology 100 psychology 100 film 100 (waiting list) sociology 210: canadian sociology second term: english 221: britain 18th cent. to present psychology 225: contemporary psych film 233: directing and production sociology and psych 100 (they're full year courses) so yeah, things are interesting right now. i have some wicked books that i'm reading and all my profs seem like really cool people. hopefully i can get into that intro film course this semester. sucks about your job. what were they shifty reasons? and that's awesome that you'll be down at the end of october! for spooky? if you need a place to stay there's always room at my place. it'll be good to see you again. |

That first term looks a little intimidating as far as projects/workload goes, but definitely interesting! Behavioural sciences rock the socks, i'm sure a couple intersting conversations are in store.
Things were going alright at work, at least i thought so. Lube-x is a franchise, my boss bought the franchise in fort st john a couple years ago and it's been a little iffy in regards to financing, plus we had a couple personality clashes. I've never been around cars before up until this point, and in the seven weeks i've been there i've picked up a lot, enough to do an entire oil change on a car (upstairs and below), all the paper work and cash out a customer in 20min. enough to decide i'd like to persue the mechanics/trade program through the college. They were really short staff when i was hired, in the last two weaks about 20 resume's have been dropped off. She's hired 4 new people, one manager and 3 students she's only paying 6.50$ an hour, where she was paying me 9.75. Everyone i worked with was amazed that i got layed off, the official reason was i wasn't mechanically inclined. It's her business though and unfortunately i got the short end of the stick. I've been out job hunting and, luckily, it looks like canadian tire will probably sponsor my apprenticeship. It's not the greatest place to work, but it'll do. I'm not sure if it'll be the weekend of spooky or the previous one, i might take you up on your offer though. Stay out of trouble in the meantime. ps: it's snowing again today. |
