CANUCKS TO HOST PUBLIC SKATES AT

GENERAL MOTORS PLACE

…First two dates set for October 30th and November 6th

Vancouver, B.C. – The Vancouver Canucks announced today that the first two dates for the general public to skate at General Motors Place will be Saturday, October 30th and November 6th. There will be four separate on-ice times per day giving hundreds of fans the unique opportunity to skate in the home of the Canucks. Tickets are five dollars and all proceeds go to the Canucks For Kids Fund.

Each of the four on-ice sessions per day will last one hour, with a capacity for 200 people per skate. Ice times for both October 30th and November 6th are scheduled for 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm. Tickets for the public skate at General Motors Place will go on sale on Monday, October 25th at 9:30 a.m. and will be available through Ticketmaster by phone (604-280-4400) or on-line (canucks.com/tickets) only. There is a limit of four tickets per person.

Fans must provide their own skates and are encouraged to wear helmets. No hockey sticks or pucks will be permitted during the public skates.
