i found the info i needed Info: This beautiful fish has been developed into many spectacularly coloured, long-finned varieties. Despite the pugnacious name, only males are aggressive, and then only toward other males of the same species. But it is recommended to keep atleast 2 females per 1 male. The females, all of which are short-finned, are generally placid and retiring. Breeding: Eggs are laid in a bubble-nest, built and guarded by the male. Breeding will often occur in community aquaria. The male's aggression can cause few problems at this time. The fry can be fed at first on a supply of infusorians and rotifers.
