I'm with you guys on this one. I think it is mostly because an overwhelming factor I use to judge the merit of hip hop is the production. And IMO 2pac never had really good beats. Baring those select few tracks he did with Dr. Dre, of course.

He had okay rhymes and okay ideas but never had really solid production behind him for sure

He's amazing. I can't believe you people. I'm not trying to force my opinions on people. I dunno. I don't listen to much hip hop/ rap anymore. But tupac holds this special place in my heart. I can burn a cd now and if there's one hip hop track on it, it's going to be tupac.
