for all underagers wanting to come to "unscrooged"

Unfortunately as much as we would love to have you as part of our event, we will be id'ing at the door...and good luck bringing fake id...cause we really know how old you are.

We have promised Regis that we will ID this night, and that all people at our even will be 19+.

I'm so sorry about this if you were planning on coming, but this is an important event, and I don't want anything to go bad.

I would still like to encourage all of you to donate whatever you can though... don't take it out on the family if you are mad at us for enforcing this.

Thank you,

Rhapsodic Ent.

Unless you work for the establishment where the event is being held, you have no more right to ask for ID than the next guy does. I respect and understand the 19+ for drinks rule, but its a restuarant for christ sake. Why stop people (underaged if they may be) who are an active part of the site from participating? I think the logical thing to do would be allow everyone in and remove the trouble makers / people who were drinking (underaged) if caught doing so.

I find it stupid and insulting that you would punish everyone for other people's mistakes in the past.

Plus, drunk or not, what ever happened to "the more the merrier?"

Just my two cents.

i don't know if this is true for Tribeca, but for some bar/restaurant type things you need to be 19+ to even be allowed inside.

I don't disagree with that. I disagree with the fact that Tribeca should be all ages some nights, and 19+ plus others. What difference does it make? If the owner knows you aren't supposed to be drinking, then who really gives a hoot if you come to a "19+" event. Its kind of an insult to all the responsible minors who would like to come out and support such an event.

we almost lost this night, and one of the promises we made to regis (after having him ask) was to have this 19+ and to be strict on it.

if i could let everyone in i would, but unfortunately this night is to important to have us loose it again.

we were hoping that we could have all the underagers go to the rave the next day...unfortunately thats been postponed.

i was just saying that i'm not sure if it IS allowed to be all ages other nights. i think that might just happen due to lack of caring on the part of the owner if there are underage people in his bar/restaurant. like i said, some of those places are required to ID anyone who comes in. if this is the case in Tribeca then it's not an insult to the minors, it's just the law. even if the owner hasn't really respected it much before.

I was under the impression that Tribeca was a Bar and Restuarant. Which means that anyone, of ANY age can come and sit around if they so choose. However, if you want to purchase drinks the 19+ rule comes into play. Any moron can figure that out.

So who's to say they shouldn't have been there in the first place hmmm? :)

the place is basicly a full bar after 9 there is no controls to keep booze out of minors hands once inside so most likley they shouldnt be in there after a time period..

number one: did you just call me a moron?

number two: maybe you should check into some of the alcohol laws we have here. there are even some areas of normal restaurants that you have to be a minor to even sit and eat in just because they are serving alcohol there. i know plenty of restaurant/bars that are 19+ and must legally check for ID.

The Fountainhead Pub and Balthazar's are just two examples in vancouver.

i'm not trying to argue with you, i'm just letting you know that Tribeca might be one of the places that are 19+, but have perhaps been a little lax on the policy in the past.

For the record: I didn't call you a moron, no reason to. I was simply making reference to the alcohol 19+ laws.

Two: If that is so the case, I would expect to see the place tighten up. One or the other is fine, but sitting on the fence as to whom can and cannot come in on certain nights is garbage. Thats just my opinion anyways.

I might to come out and meet some of you internet strangers that night. Then you can all make fun of me for loving the minors...
