i know that there aren't that many people on this board into techno, but if anyone out there is, and they want a bit of exposure, myself and the other kcuf uoy guys are looking for some new local techno dj's/producers to come and play for us. if you have a demo you want to give us, that would be great - if you want to come down and meet us, we're still offering open decks 9-10pm, second and fourth thursday of every month @ lick.

support your local scene! vancouver is about the only major city on the face of the planet without a big techno underground - and while we know it's been tried before, (and failed before), we really want to make it stick around this time. there is so much amazing talent from the west coast, we want to put vancouver on the map, and get it the respect it deserves from the rest of the world, while at the same time starting small, and keeping it tight.

There's a killer techno section (though small) at Lucid in Nanaimo. When I start getting back into buying records, I think my techno and hip-hop selections are going to go up.

Heh. They have SUF. Still have One Night In Hackney on backorder.

Also had a bunch of Hawtin, Cox and Clarke there too.
