there is definitely a chance of getting extended. i dont know what program their doing this time
but when i was hired i was hired for 3 months and it got extended to 6 months dont expect it to go much further than that...but its easier to apply for other positions within bc hydro and accenture business services once you have been there for at least 3 months |

My dad works for BC HYDRO and claims the reason they mainly offer temp positions is to see how you do example (late/lazy/incopitent etc) So when it comes to the end of your contract its easyer for them just to let you go. (kind of like a long trial run) However if you do well than they will most deff let you stay instead of putting up an other temp position.

everyone starts with the contract thing..
i was hired on with a 3 month, and i'm going on 2 years now (oh good god) and im currently in training for a job in a different department. once you're in its really easy to move around, especially if you start in the call centre because you get experience with all areas of bc hydro customer service. the only thing that would make it hard is that they don't often have positions for other departments. |
