Yes, you could, but I myself would use diet.

Hello, diet coke sucks and so do things that are free of fat. Incidentally, I'm going to be dead of a heart attack at age 28.

Unfortunately, it does suck, but it sucks more that if I don't lay off I will have to pay for a new wardrobe, and really a few calories for lots of money, I think it is a great trade!
