i would try to scam customs, but it's different, they don't need probable cause, and the tags show where the product was manufactured.

so in other words, if they so choose, and proceed to search, you will get fined some crazy amount. 2 weeks ago i declared almost $400usd of stuff. limit's 200cdn, taxes were $33cdn. i'd rather eat the $33 than risk what is probably at least a $1000 fine.

hell i got hassled heading into the states because i was once charged with a crime that i was acquitted for. buddy acted like i had a record. so i'd rather just play it safe at the border. i'm ghetto but it's just not worth the risk. on top of the fact that you'd be redflagged and besides road trips, i don't need to have my shit messed up when i do real traveling, and have to stop off in the states or anything.

i can't go to the states for another few days because my ebay stuff won't be at our p.o box yet.
as for b.f....it's hit or miss. alot of time it is a waste of time. but every now and then you score.

but you got hassled heading into the states. meaning, you got hassled by US Customs. they're all fucking assholes. you have to be so careful not to even look at those guys funny when you're crossing down.

coming back up here is often a totally different story.
i haven't been asked to produce a receipt or stopped coming back into Canada for about five years.

My friend and I are going to be headed to Bellingham on Sunday around 12ish. We probably wouldnt be there more than 3 or 4 hours. BUT if you meet me in Langley, and your cool with driving with a stranger...I have 3 backseats available!! ;)

I usually don't risk not claiming what i've bought. A jacket or sweater is fine to wear. but we've had out car ripped apart and pace sticker taken away over a $20 pair of damn slippers for my brother. I just try to only buy things much cheaper/not avail. here and factor in if i might have to pay duty. If I see alot that I like...i'll just take a few trips to buy it, rather than try to sneak the stuff through. Border jerks can be exactly that. You get lucky sometimes...and they'll make you pay for the smallest ammount other times.
