hey, i just bought that book you recommended (i think it was you). the American Gods by Neil Gaiman. bought the last copy in chapters downtown. can't wait to start reading it! thanks for the suggestion.

i want to grab snow crash, too...but i can't find it anywhere. i'll have to hunt the 2nd-hand shops i guess.

Go by Criterion Books on Pender and Richards.

My uncle owns the shop, and should be able to help you get your hands on it.

we're talking the crazy bookstore with piles of old books all over the place?

i'm so jealous of you. that place is the perfect 2nd-hand bookstore. they should all look like that one :)

he pretty much runs it on his own.

I know he had a guy in there one day a week a while ago to help out while he coached my cousins soccer team.

how would i know that you're actually giving away somebody's soul? unless that person was there for the exchange...yes, then that could work.

Niceness! Actually, I haven't read American Gods yet, but I've read Neverwhere (his earlier novel) and it was bloody awesome!

Snow Crash is ridiculously cool, though. Just remember that the CIC = Google and you'll find yourself saying "HOLY SHIT!" about every 23rd page.

And then you'll remind yourself that this book was written in 1992 and you'll continue to say "HOLY SHIT!"

Enjoy them! Stephenson and Gaiman are both brilliant authors.

^haha yeah totally were. because i was half-bashing adbusters. thanks for the offer for lending the books, but i like to buy my own. i'll probably end up purchasing both by the end of the summer.
