I think that its lame to put big name djs up on pedistools, and I actually think I agree with Val here that I can name alot of local djs that come close and sometimes exceed the skills of some of the more notorious acts that come to town.

Hence the importance of supporting your locals boys and girls

^^ many many local dj's here who definetly would have held my interest a little longer than these guys did. i went home by 1. same music i hear at the met every week. but still a good night overall.

You'd better shake up your magic 8 ball again; don't really like DnB these days, and if you'd read my earlier reply in the thread, I went to see friends and get drunk, which is all I did. Probably didn't dance at all.

no one ever said they were rave gods. just as no one said that they were the pinnacle of DnB. why don't you actual READ the posts instead of spending all your time trying to formulate your next insult. sarcastic comments are so much better when they're based on something someone actually said.

POTD is a real DnB show...unless i went to the wrong place that night. maybe not your favourite DJ's or music selection, but it was DnB nonetheless.

the sound wasn't very good, i agree. but then again, i've come to expect not so great sound from sonar.

as i said in the other thread, i had a really fun night. lots of good tunes, good friends and good beers. i'll go to another POTD for sure.

i agree it was a meh show for me - everyone else seemed to be digging it but hard and heavy dnb just doesn't really do it for me anymore (i'd rather djs ebbed and flowed with ups and downs than hearing straight heavy for an hour).

And the sound was fine when Manos and uh... whatever the other guy's name is was playing - I have vision of AK1200 jumping on the decks and just deciding to crank to volume till all the sound just distorted cause you know... louder always means it's better.

Same thing happened last year too...

Anyway, props to PH1 for throwing a kick-ass night (in terms of turnout and such) but I personally wasn't feeling it and it would be nice to see a potd show on a real sound system someday...
