Hey Guys!! What's up? I'm meellttiinnggg here haha. It's soo humid that's what kills ya. But everything is going great! Today was a huge casting day, running around Milan from morning until night so now i'm beat. I'm so happy to be back here in the summer now! It's so much funner than the winter. There is so much more going on i've been having so much fun! Everything has happened all so fast since December it's so overwhelming but i'm so glad everything is going well and hoping for the best this season. I got dircetly booked back to Balenciaga, the same Gucci company i worked for last season so i'm really happy about that! THERE'S RENT! haha. So i'm hoping for the best with the shows. My roomates are really cool. Some don't speak very good english but we get by haha. Brett, Evan, and Kyle live right across the street. We've been going out all the time and having a blast. Me Brett and Evan went for appertivo in the centre. Appertivo is where you buya drink and get a free buffet. But Brett's 'Italian girl' haha is rich so we didn't have to pay! Even better! So she ended up buying a little to much to drink and ended up dancing in the streets of Milan haha. Last weekedn Kyle decided to jump in my apartment window to wake me up to come party while i was dead asleep. Oh my, i think there's going to be lot's of stories from this summer haha. This whole week while be pretty chill because show castings all week are very intense and by the end of the night you just wanna eat and pass out. Did anyone watch Manhunt? Rob, who came in second place, is here. I met him at a casting the other day and he's realy nice. He's friends with one of my my friends kinda story so i think were all going out this weekend or something. Well i can't think of much more to say before my brain goes to sleep but i'm sure i'm missing out alot. But this is pretty much turning into a book so i'll save it for next time! How are you all? Sorry it's taken so long for an update but things have been crazy lately. I've got 3 jobs so far!! I am directly booked back with the Balenciaga showroom. I also booked the Fujiwara, a japanese designer, show and the PRADA showroom! woo hooooo i'm so excited haha. I've started the Balenciaga showroom already and it's good. VERRYYY long days and i haven't been feeling 100% because all day long i'm in a cold air conditioned building and go outside to 36 degrees plus humidity :S kind of a body shock haha. But i'm so happy i got the Prada showroom. I'm really hoping for some more shows. I was an option for a Jil Sander exclusive but it didn't fall through :( But stuff like that happens all the time here so you can't let it get to you. It's still INSANELY hot, at least 36 degrees every day and the humidity is so hard to explain. It actually, no word of exaggeration, feels like a sauna. mmmmmm barf. The showroom really tired me out so been mostly chilling lately. BUT last night was probably one of the best nights i've ever had in Milan. We went to the 25th anniversary GQ party. The very first person i saw when i walked in was Usher. USHER! haha. So that was a little out of the ordinary. And about 10 minutes later i heard some mubling on the microphone introducing someone to the stage, and all of a sudden Kanye West appeared and played about 4 of his songs!! It was insane. I was with a bunch of my friends, and Sean who i met lasst year in Milan at the residence. He owns a website based out of London so he knows everyone! So needless to say everyone was at the party and i met so many people i look up to in this industry. Alot of top models to! Wooo i'm trying to type so fast because this cafe is closing soon it hurts haha. You guys wouldn't believe what this lady said to me at my showroom job. She called my fat. YES, ME!! I was in such shock i had no idea what to say but just llok very confused. She told me to suck in my stomache and not breathe so the jacket would fit better haha. She didn't work with me last year so i don't know her like the others but i pretty much hate her now. So everyday at lunch i make sure she see's my plate of EVERYTHING at the buffet haha. Stupid lady. I'm looking forward to wathching some of the shows that i can make it to this season. I watched my buddy Evan in Vivienne Westwood yesterday and it was a great show. I'm taking lot's of pictures so they'll make all my stories come to life when i get home. Thanks to everyone emailing me back! I'll send personal ones back ASAP as in tomorrow haha. But time to hed to bed! Speak to you all soon, i hope everything is great back home. I miss fresh aiiirrrrrrrrrrr Matt :) July 2 Hey Guys!! How is everyone? I hope all is well in Vancouver. It's 38 degrees right now and it seems like a cool day haha. Isn't that insane? I've been dead tired lately s excuse me if this sounds mumbled together. I really wish i would have gotten a show this season but it's just how it works. Is started the balenciaga showroom early so i missed out on some castings but hey, either work and audition for it haha. I wish i was able to go to paris for Balenciaga but i was confirmed for Prada before i was invited to Paris so i had to stick to it :( Plus, lsat time i worked in Paris without an agency it took FOREVER to get paid. I'm working at the Prada showroom right now and have 12 days left i think. Just imagaine 3 weeks straight of 9 to 7 at night of basically sitting there and trying on the clothes every now and then. I'mmm exhaustteedddd haha but i'm really happy that i'm working every single day for 3 weeks straight because that rarelay happens. Hmm so lt's see what's new. men's fashion week in Milan is over now and moved to Paris. I'm recovering from that week of insane running around and many events attented. Oh yea! I also got another booking since the last time i updated! I got the calvin Klein presentation! It was great because i got paid alot of money to stand for 2 hours and i was with some of the top guys. When my booker called to say i booked a Calvin Klein job i told her i think she has the wrong Matt haha. I went to see a bunch of shows this season. Roberto Cavalli's show was really fun. I met a lot of cool people there. Ended up hanging out wit some of the actualy Playboy bunnies, talked to Tim Blanks from fashion file, and talked to Usher for a while to haha. So that wasn't such an ORDINARY night haha. I think it's going to take FOREVER to tell all the stories from this trip but i'm so happy that's it's been so much fun already. I also have been placed with agencies in London and Germany i believe now so i'm hoping to maybe go to either of those markets really soon. Next is New York!!! I'm really focused on getting a working visa for the states and eventually going to school in NYC. So we'll see we'll see. Anways, let me know what you all have been up to. I really miss home and am looking forward to coming home on the 18th to fresh air. It's probably going to feel like winter at home :S Take care and i will talk to you all soon.
