So the course in Oliver had a stinkin tournament on the Saturday, so the plans have changed slightly. There's another 9 hole course in Osoyoos that's pretty nice (Dave played there a few weeks ago) and we can just walk onto.. so we'll do 18 there on Saturday in the late afternoon and I booked a time at the Osoyoos Golf & Country club at 12:08pm on the sunday caus they have a midday special - probably cuz it gets to fuckin hot, but oh well, at least we'll be able to see the whole time. The OGCC one looks pretty fukin pimp too...

well it is 9 hole, but apparently a very nice 9 hole. I'll keep looking for other courses I guess for Saturday, but we can always use it as a failsafe because I don't think there are as many quality courses as you might think. Maybe I'll try penticton as well, only about 45 minutes from Osoyoos.

that simply isn't the problem. Fairview Mountain was nice, but we can't play on Saturday... I'm looking at all these other courses (and many look pretty nice), but 70% seem to be 9 holes.. apparently people in the okanagan can't handle a full 18 (all retirees i guess)... maybe Twin Lakes I guess, but I've already played there... it's OK, but not super pimp by any means.

There's a nice course that's in Oliver. They say it gives Fairview Mountain a run for it's money. It's nice and close to the Osoyoos golf and country club too.

Funny things happen in this world sometimes.... that is the 9 hole I was talkin about. It says 18 there, but Dave said he played it 3 weeks ago and it's only 9.... but Dave could be smoking crack - i dunno.

This can't be the same course Dave played. Anyway, I set up a tee time for there for 12:45pm. I know that's a little early considering we have to drive up there in the morning, but it was either that or after 3pm and be behind a tournament which would be slow as fuck, and by then the sun would be setting by just after 8pm, and when paying $55 a round, I want to be able to see the whole bloody time.

Maybe we'll just have to go up Friday night or somethin... might be easier - only problem is Jon might have to work Friday night.

about 4.5hrs, mostly because you have to head to Osoyoos first (4hrs) then up 97 to the course... or towards penticton first and then down... might be faster.

As for ranges, Nk'Mip has "Facilities include: Driving range, putting and chipping greens, practice area, 3 practice holes."

Osoyoos has: "Our facility has a 14 stall driving range on which to warm up before a round as well as a pitching green and a putting on which to fine-tune your skills"
