wolves of the calla is the fifth volume of a longer tale inspired by Robert brownings narraticew poem "Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came." The sixth, song of sussanah, will be published in 2004. The seventh, and the last, the dark tower, will be published later that same year.
that is what the reverend stephen king tells us in the beginning of book five. maybe you should read all the words when you're reading a book? |

uh...the 7th book has been out since before christmas? so i'm sure there has to be someone who's read it.
it's simply called 'The Dark Tower' and has a picture of Roland on the front standing in front of the dark tower with a bunch of roses around. and no, tim, i haven't finished the series yet. i'm on the fifth book, but haven't started it yet. i was on vacation for a month and didn't feel like lugging around my heavy hardcover book; now that i'm home, i'll have to start though. don't tell me the ending! |

^yeah. the gunslinger is the first novel in the series.
don't be put off by it though...it's not very much like the rest of the series. stephen king started writing it not really knowing that it would turn into such a big and complicated series, so the first book doesn't fit very well with the rest of them. he actually went back and re-wrote part of the first book after he finished the fourth book in the series to make it fit in better. |

you didn't like book four though and i liked it. it was cool learning about the history of roland and everything. i'll let you know what i think of book five when i start it. should be pretty soon after i finish the book i'm reading now.
and yeah, i could believe he was on acid when he wrote the first one. definitly seems like an acid trip to me. |

actually the second Time around i really enjoyed book four.
i think one of the real reasons why i didn't like book five was the way that they talked in it. it was cool that king put in this different way of talking, but i don't want to read about it all the Time! you'll find out what i mean. |
