hey buddy, just finished Dark Tower 5 (finally! damn schoolin')

i totally loved it. i kinda liked the new way of speaking. i'm not sure how i feel about stephen king writing himself into his own book. learning that 'salems lot part at the end kinda threw me out of the story for a bit. i read the book jacket for Dark Tower 6 and it looks like Stephen King is actually IN the book himself. that should be interesting.

the harry potter and marvel comics references interest me. it's a pretty damn good cliff-hanger ending. i want to know what goes on over in that Thunderclap place and why they're stealing all our cultural icons.

i want to read the 6th one right now, but i want to stretch out this series a little while longer so i'm putting it off.

have you finished Dark Tower 7? don't tell me the ending if you have.

i haven't read the seventh one yet. i'm wating until november and it comes out in that book that's between hardcover and regular paperback. i don't like to spend fifty bucks on books anymore.

i KNEW you'd like the way that they talked. the only part that i really enjoyed in the book was when callahan was talking about his journeys after salems lot. all those hidden highways and whatnot.

that was the only part you liked?

that was one of the best parts of the book, i guess. but i liked lots of other things about it as well. the whole 'chap' thing is very interesting and i want to know what happens. plus, now i'm all curious about this cross-cultural thing that's going on.

and the 'breakers' and such over in thunderclap that are working to destroy the last two beams. i remember reading about them in Hearts in Atlantis and in the short story Everything's Eventual. i love how many of his books connect to The Dark Tower. makes all the different dimensions and worlds seem real.

yeah, the learning about the breakers is pretty cool.

you'll find out about the "chap" thing pretty soon.

i've noticed that he always puts ads in his books for his other books.

i just finished pet sematary and i thought that it was great. have you read that one?

i have it though. i have all his books (most in hardcover and softcover). he makes fun of himself a bit in Thinner. that's pretty cool.
